South Korea Detects First Cryptojacking Crime, with 4 Suspects Now Arrested

According to the local news outlet Hankyung, the so-called "cryptojacking" crime, which injects malicious codes into a PC and exploits it as a zombie PC for virtual currency mining, was detected in South Korea for the first time.

The Cyber ​​Security Bureau of the National Police Agency announced that four suspects, including Kim (24), were already arrested.

From October to December last year, Kim and his colleagues gathered 32,455 e-mail IDs from people seeking a future job in their company, and later sent e-mails with cryptojacking code to infect 6,038 PCs.
