Bipartisan Lawmakers Seek Cryptocurrency Rules to Protect Consumers and Keep US Competitive

Members of the House plan to introduce three bills on Thursday, December 6, to prevent fraud, protect consumers and make sure the country doesn't fall behind as a leader in the global digital asset class.
One bill directs the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to describe how price manipulation could happen in virtual markets, then recommend regulatory changes. Another seeks to keep the U.S. competitive in the global industry.
