Japan-based Emurgo has set up an academy in Bengaluru, India to educate developers about blockchain technology and Cardano.
“India has only around 19,000 blockchain developers and architects... We foresee a huge demand for such technologists,” E Venkatesan, Chief Executive Officer at Emurgo said.
Emurgo plans to train around 2.5 lakh freshers and working professionals in the first year of the launch. It has started by enrolling 15 professionals in the first batch and plans to add 2 -3 batches in the coming months.
The company is also planning to set up five more offices at Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Pune in the next 24 months to meet the demand for blockchain developers and architects.
