KB Kookmin Bank, the largest bank in South Korea, may launch digital asset custody services soon, according to Digital Today.
KB has reportedly submitted a trademark application of KBDAC to the Korean Patent Office. “KBDAC” refers to KB Digital Asset Custody, which covers a range of services, including investment, consultancy, exchange, custody, settlement, OTC, trust, etc.
Per the report, it takes six months to one or two years for KB to complete registration of the trademark.
KB announced in June last year that it would partner with Atomrigs Lab to develop digital asset custody services that combine Atomrigs Lab technology and KB’s internal control infrastructure and information protection technologies.
