U.S. investors are depositing stablecoins back into crypto exchanges, according to CryptoQuant. It said stablecoin flows at exchanges had remained in net outflow for more than two months after turning negative on May 11, but recently shifted back to net inflows. CryptoQuant added that inflows to exchanges generally increase buying power and tend to align with upward price trends, with the USDC net inflow indicator signaling the market is turning more positive.

German crypto asset manager DDA (Deutsche Digital Assets) said Bitcoin’s governance structure is one reason advances in quantum computing could pose a threat to the network. DDA said financial institutions such as JPMorgan could shift to quantum-resistant cryptography through board approval and budget execution alone, while Bitcoin would require consensus among participants worldwide. DDA added decentralized networks may adopt quantum-resistant cryptography more slowly than traditional financial institutions, and said this reflects not so much a weakness in Bitcoin as a need to take its governance process seriously.

Lorenzo Protocol's BANK, newly listed on South Korean exchange Bithumb's won market, has seen sharp volatility. Based on Binance's USDT spot trading pair, BANK climbed to as high as $0.595 at around 6:17 a.m. UTC today, but has since given back most of those gains and was trading near $0.41. BANK traded around $0.04 on July 13.

Bitcoin has entered an undervalued zone, but the capitulation typically seen at cycle bottoms has yet to emerge, on-chain analyst Axel Adler Jr said on X.
Adler said the MVRV Z-score, a metric used to assess oversold and overbought conditions, fell to 0.42, around four times lower than its historical average of 1.7, but remained above zero. BTC’s seven-day realized profit and loss turned positive from negative, indicating on-chain selling pressure has eased. He said the market has entered a stabilization phase while undervalued, but clear bottom signals and the demand needed to drive a fresh upswing are still lacking.

Robinhood Chain, Robinhood’s Arbitrum-based layer-2 network, has become the top blockchain for real-world asset token holders just one month after launch, CryptoPotato reported, citing data from RWA.xyz. The chain currently has 330,000 RWA token holders and $24.12 million in assets deposited on the platform. It also supports trading in around 1,900 tokenized assets, with monthly trading volume standing at about $750 million. CryptoPotato said Robinhood Chain has been showing rapid early growth through meme coins and stablecoin payments.

Seiji Kihara, a lawmaker from Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party, said Japan’s two-times leverage limit on cryptocurrency trading is overly restrictive and pledged to pursue regulatory easing, Nikkei reported. Speaking at a financial summit in Tokyo, Kihara said sufficient liquidity and a functioning price mechanism are essential for the healthy development of the crypto market, adding that deregulation is an unavoidable trend.
Kihara currently leads the LDP’s Next-Generation AI and On-Chain Finance Project Team, which is pushing regulatory changes aimed at improving market liquidity and attracting more cryptocurrency capital to Japan, according to the report.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said "AI has become a megatrend" but that does not diminish the value of cryptocurrency. In a post on X, Armstrong said crypto is general-purpose infrastructure like electricity or the internet, adding it is not competing with AI but instead supports it. Armstrong also said AI agents cannot open bank accounts or wait for wire transfers, so they need cryptocurrency as real-time programmable money. Storj said on its official X account that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a U.S. court. The company said the filing is intended to address existing debt issues while allowing the business to continue operating. Once the reorganization process is completed, Storj said the entity is expected to be restructured into a jointly owned model involving management, the community, STORJ holders and investors.
Storj, founded in 2014, operates a cloud storage network. Other crypto-related companies that have entered bankruptcy proceedings this year include MOVE developer Movement Labs, Bitcoin ATM operator Bitcoin Depot (BTM), crypto lending platform Blockfills and stablecoin operator Archblock.

An altcoin season is identified when 75% of the top 100 coins outperform Bitcoin over the past 90 days, while the opposite is considered a Bitcoin season. A reading closer to 100 indicates a stronger altcoin season.
